Electronics and Communication Engineering

Electronics and Communication Engineering

The rapid development in Electronics and Communications initiated the inception of a separate Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering 2008, after the trifurcation of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The department has well established Basic & advanced Electronics, Digital Electronics, Analog communications, Microprocessor, VHDL & simulation, Fiber optics, Digital communications Microwaves and Instrumentation laboratories.

EEE Branch in Engineering- Opportunities

Posted by Murali In modern world man can’t live without electricity and world is run by the EEE Engineers only. Without electricity it is very difficult to spend even single second. The usage of electricity increases day by day enormously. Because of this demand it is compulsory to start new power generation stations in future. So definitely there is very good demand for EEE Engineers. There are many sectors offering job opportunities for EEE graduates. Some of the organizations are APSEB, Power Grid Corporation, NTPC, BHEL, CPRI and BSNL etc. and private sectors like L&T, Tata Power, ITC and Reliance etc. EEE Students can also get significant number of jobs in Software Industries.

In the four year course the important subjects in the curriculum are: 1. Basic electronics – I, II 2. Digital electronics 3. Pulse and Switching Circuits
4. EMF 5. Linear Integrated Circuits 6. Microprocessors and Micro Controllers
7. Digital Signal Processing 8. Power Electronics 9. HVDC 10. Power Systems 11. Electrical Machines etc.

If the students prepare all the important subjects thoroughly it is very easy to get good GATE rank .But students should start preparation from the first year onwards The EEE Students can take the following specializations in M.Tech.: 1. Micro Electronics 2. Power Systems 3. Power Electronics 4. VLSI 5. DSP
6. Embedded Systems 7. HVDC 8. Control systems 9. Reliability Engineering
10. Robotics, etc. All the above courses are offered by all IITs and NITs and Reputed Universities. Specialization in any course is having very good demand.
